AND THE WORKER PAYS FULL PRICE

When they release their new model phones,  

   tablets, and cars every year with little to no 

   upgrades.

When they no longer support the tech you 

   purchased two years prior.

When they brick it with software updates.

When they convince you to demand the 

   latest and greatest.

When they decide for you that nothing less 

   will suffice.

Here we stand.

No longer being nickel and dimed.

Insisting every time

   they've committed no crime.

We are the oppressed,

   worshiping our oppressors.

The false prophets with promises of nothing  

   useful.

They unveil their yearly smartphones,  

   tablets, and video game consoles.

   they throw annual conventions

   to gather the unwashed brain dead

   panting, masses.

We're told American freedom is

   superior through capitalist effort.

But, America only takes the podium

   for untreated mental illness, diabetes,

   and mass incarceration.

The capitalist oppresses the consumer.

The capitalist pays a penny to the worker.

The capitalist pays a quarter to the  

   manufacturer.

The capitalist pays a dollar to the  

   advertisers.

The advertisers receive free products.

The manufacturer can buy it at cost. 

And the worker pays full price.
